What Should I do if I need to get my Travel policy cancelled?

All cancellations are subject to the condition that you notify us 24 hours prior to the departure date mentioned on the policy. Any cancellation requested post departure will not be accepted unless a copy of appropriate Visa Refusal Letter is provided.

A written request must be sent from the name insured (on the travel policy) to Jubilee General* along with copies of following documents:
a) Original travel policy
b) Letter of cancellation of the client (original)
c) Copy of CNIC
d) Original refusal letter by the related Embassy (in case of cancellation is due to Visa refusal).
e) For cancellation of policy in all other cases client will be required to show the original passport personally to the designated branch of Jubilee General.
f) Any other relevant document required by Jubilee General depending upon reason of cancellation of policy.

Once your policy is cancelled, refund will be made by Jubilee General by crossed cheque in the name of the insured and sent by courier directly to the insured after verification from the relevant consulate or embassy in case of Visa Refusal after deduction of standard levies and stamp duty.

What if I am unable to contact Specialty Assistance at time of medical emergency?

If during an emergency, or due to any valid reason, Assistance Company nominated by us cannot be contacted for prior approval, the claim may still be considered subject otherwise to the policy terms and conditions. In all such cases, the expenses must be reasonable and customary and all documents (medical report, bills, etc) must be forwarded to our appointed Assistance Company for their approval and acceptance. No claim will be considered if our appointed assistance company has not been contacted within 30 days of the accident or illness.

How does Specialty Assistance operate?

Specialty Assistance will appoint a medical expert in case of a medical emergency. This expert will have complete and free access to your insurance details as well as your medical file to assess the validity of your claim. A valid claim will be completely managed by this expert, which would include provision of suitable means of transport in consultation with the treating physician as well. Please note that Air ambulance transportation is limited to intra continental transportations and to critical cases which cannot be accommodated by any other transportation means. When contacting Specialty Assistance you should state:

  • Your family name and first name;
  • The name of your insurer as Jubilee General Insurance Company Limited and provide the insurance Policy Number and Period of Insurance;
  • The date of entry in the visited country;
  • The name, address and telephone number of the Medical Centre to which the Insured Person has been admitted;
  • The name and address of the Medical Practitioner in charge of the Insured Person
  • A brief description of the problems encountered.

How will I use my Travel Insurance?

Jubilee General has collaborated with International Assistance Company- Specialty Assistance, in order to facilitate our customers abroad. Specialty Assistance must be contacted immediately, in the event of an Insured dying, incurring medical expenses in excess of $500, being involved in an accident, or being admitted to hospital. We will not be liable for any costs without the express prior approval of Specialty Assistance.

Period of Insurance

Coverage initiates from the moment you leave your home, in respect of your travel trip in your residence country and shall remain in force during your entire travel period and shall end upon your return to your home country.

What if I need to extend my Travel Insurance coverage period?

As Jubilee Life’s Saffron customer, you are provided free travel insurance coverage for yourself for 7 days only. If you wish to extend your coverage for more than 7 days, please call Jubilee General at 111-654-111 during Mon – Fri, 9.00 AM – 5.30 PM) and avail trip extension packages exclusively for Saffron customers at a discounted rate of 10% . To avail extended policies, you are required to contact Jubilee General before you travel (no extension is granted if you have already traveled) and pay premium directly.

What are my eligibility criteria for availing Travel Insurance Plan?

  • You must be a Jubilee Life Saffron Customer
  • You must be a Citizen of Pakistan or have Resident Status in Pakistan only
  • Age should be 65 years or below

Which countries are covered under my Travel Insurance Plan?

Travel Insurance provides you coverage for traveling to any country of the world except:

  • Areas declared a war zone by the United Nations or dangerous areas suffering from civil commotion, riots or unrest will not be covered by Via Care e.g. Afghanistan, Nigeria, Kenya, North Korea, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, East Timor, Sierra Leon etc.

How many hours before traveling, should I apply for travel insurance coverage?

It generally takes approx. 24 hours to complete policy issuance procedure. Keeping this in mind, you should apply atleast 72 hours prior traveling, along with complete set of documents.
